Why Occupy Museums is a movement worth supporting →
Davis really nails it in this one. He makes those perfect connections between art, and economics, pointing out the fact that a MOMA board of trustees member is the wife of Dick Fuld who was CEO of Lehman Brothers, and is partially responsible for the economic downturn. Davis also notes the importance of activist work done by the Art Workers Coalition (AWC) in the 60’s and 70’s, work...

Occupy Musuems in its Second Week →
This is interesting; it’s a much better plan than simply occupying random museums. The connection to the Sotheby’s lockout also seems to be very concrete and part of their plan, which can only reflect a good sense of direction.

Art and the occupy wall street movement. Am I the only one that, aside from signage, can’t seem to find “occupy” art in the City (San Francisco)? Please let me know if I’m not looking properly.

I hate the term “people of color”. I think it’s more racist than the actual racial designations. Truthfully, I’d rather be called a Nigger, Negro, Colored, Black or “African” Amercian than to be called a Person of Color, (yes even by white people!)
It’s demeaning to me because it erases me….
What do you mean when you say that people of color were not targeted before...

To my Bay Area followers,
Attend if you can! I’ll unfortunately be working, so I can’t attend myself, but you should go out and support, if you can. Also, not that they are serving ice cream.
