Zanele Muholi, Miss D’vine I, from the series, Miss D’vine, 2007
Zanele Muholi is a photographer based out of Johannesburg, South Africa. She’s been exhibited in numerous countries, most famously in the Sao Paolo Biennal in 2010. Her work has focused on the lives of queer people, specifically on black lesbian women’s identity in South Africa.
This is one of my favorite works of hers.
